This stupid little spark plug has made a "substantial" improvement in both starting and low end responce on my 87', SF416C is the call #. This plug has two electrodes or tangs at its firing tip. Each firing travels down only one of the split halfs, such is the reality with electrical potential. When One half of the "split" fires it naturally heats up! Increased electron excitation equals "LESS" current flow, the excited electrons or faster moving "pool balls" wont let the next charge to flow through as easy a "cool" tang. This situation has less effect upon a Split Fire plug due to its "twin" electrode design. The next firing cycle now has the "option" of traveling across the cooler, or previously un-fired electrode. This cooler "half" allows for just a little extra current to flow each firing cycle, hence a better burn each cycle! The damn pug naturally fires, every other time, between its two electrode halfs! Who ever came up with this one is a genius! and insanely rich! LOL, Peace, Gary PS. can't wait to get my K&N Air Filter in the act!
